Full itinerary below
Day One - Victoria, Mahé, and St Anne's
Welcome aboard today as you embark on the intimate M/Y Pegasus, your home for the next seven nights. Your cruise begins from Victoria, the capital of the Seychelles. Pegasus's friendly crew will make you feel at home, and after a safety briefing and welcome chat, you'll soon begin sailing (approximately 16.00), so enjoy a refreshing cocktail, before the Pegasus docks near St. Anne island (just about roughly 45 minutes' sailing) for a quick dip in the gorgeous waters of the Indian Ocean off the back of the boat. Tonight, you'll get to know your fellow travellers a bit better over welcome canapes and dinner. Each night before dinner, you'll discover more about the destinations you'll visit the next day during a talk with your cruise director.
Please note - many of the destinations you'll be visiting are accessible only by zodiac/local tender, with dry or wet landings - except for Victoria and Baie St Anne (Praslin), where you'll be able to embark/disembark by the gangway onto a dock. However zodiacs back to the ship allow you plenty of freedom and flexibility to stay ashore as long or as little as you want.
Day Two - Curieuse Island
The M/Y Pegasus sets sail from St Anne Island, where she's been docked overnight offshore, and heads this morning to Curieuse Island, a conservationist's paradise. Once ashore, your cruise director will introduce you to some of the island's inhabitants, his 'lazy friends' the Seychelles Giant Tortoises, which were almost extinct at one point until efforts to revive the giant tortoise population lead to Curieuse Island being used as a conservation area, and now there's some 3,000 of the Tortoises on the island! You can then join your cruise director to walk across the island, spotting some of the indigenous fruit, birds, and even crabs, particularly through the mangrove area, which is home to mangrove and land crabs, which are no longer allowed to be eaten. Once your walk is finished, you'll be rewarded with a stunning beach, and a succulent barbecue to savour, before heading back to the Pegasus at your leisure.
Day Three - Cousin Island and Anse Lazio
Having spent the night at Curieuse Island, it's time to wave goodbye to the giant tortoises as the Pegasus sets sail again, this time to Cousin Island, where you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a locally guided tour of its bird sanctuary, spotting a number of different birds, many of which are endemic to the Seychelles, and some of which are happy to nest on the ground, as Cousin Island is not home to any predators! Afterwards, it's back onboard for lunch, and the next stop is Anse Lazio, a stunning beach where you may have the opportunity to enjoy some snorkelling!
Day Four - Aride, St Pierre, and Baie St Anne (Praslin)
Today, you'll set sail for the island of Aride,** the northernmost granitic island of the Seychelles. After a morning exploring, enjoy some lunch before sailing to your next destination, tiny islet of St Pierre, not far from Praslin. Here, the M/Y Pegasus will dock for an amazing snorkelling opportunity from the boat's zodiac, and then continue to Baie St Anne on Praslin island itself. Tonight, you'll be joined by local dancers to celebrate Creole Night, complete with an al fresco buffet on deck.
Day Five - Baie St Anne (Praslin), Felicite, and La Digue
This morning you'll have the chance to explore Praslin yourself, perhaps opting to join the optional excursion to the UNESCO-listed Vallee de Mai, home to many of the famous Coco de Mer palm trees, as well as a number of other palm three species. During your tour you'll learn all about coco de mer, its different life stages, its fruit, and even see some Seychelles vanilla growing in the wild. After your tour of the Valle de Mai, you'll have some time to relax by the beach before heading back onboard. Another incredible snorkelling opportunity awaits early this afternoon with a visit to Felicite, which is home to the ultra-luxurious and super-exclusive Six Senses Hotel! Afterwards enjoy sailing to La Digue, one of the largest islands of the Seychelles where the Pegasus will dock overnight.
Day Six - La Digue and Moyenne Island
La Digue is best known for its incredible beaches, most famously the so-called 'Bacardi Beach', Source D'argent, renowned for its unique granitic formations, particularly the 'two kissers'. Enjoy a leisurely morning here, before sailing to nearby Moyenne Island later this evening.
Day Seven - Moyenne Island and Victoria, Mahe
Nobody lives on Moyenne Island anymore, although it was once a private island which changed hands about four times in just over a hundred years. It was once owned by an English woman who loved animals, and she shared the island with 70 dogs (today, there are only two dogs on the island), but it is now a nature reserve run by a trust, to preserve its wildlife and its beauty. You can join your cruise director for a walk up and along the island, taking in some incredible views, spotting some more giant tortoises, and some flying fruit bats, before a beach BBQ lunch and a further chance to snorkel. This afternoon, you'll sail for your final port of call, returning to Inter Island Quay, Mahe. Tonight there's a Captain's farewell dinner with live music and dancing.
Day Eight - Victoria, Mahe
This morning, it's time to wave goodbye to the crew, the Pegasus, and your new friends, as you disembark, no doubt bringing back many happy memories with you.
