We recently cruised onboard Azamara Quest, and you can read our Azamara Quest Cruise Review for our thoughts on the food! The Main Dining Room: Discoveries Restaurant

The heart of dining on any Azamara ship is Discoveries Restaurant, the main dining room. This elegantly designed space provides open seating, allowing guests to dine when and with whom they choose. The menu changes daily and features a variety of international dishes, ensuring there is always something new to try.

A typical dinner at Discoveries might include:

  • Starters: Lobster bisque, Caesar salad, or an antipasto plate with cured meats and cheeses.
  • Mains: Grilled salmon with a lemon-dill sauce, beef tenderloin with a red wine reduction, or a vegetarian risotto with seasonal vegetables.
  • Desserts: Classic Crème Brûlée, a rich chocolate lava cake, or a refreshing sorbet.

The attentive staff can accommodate dietary needs, whether you’re vegan, gluten-free, or have other restrictions. With its inviting ambiance and carefully curated menus, Discoveries Restaurant is a place where meals turn into memorable experiences.

Chef's Table on Azamara Cruises

The Chef’s Table offers an unforgettable dining experience, combining a five-course meal with expertly paired wines and an intimate setting. As one of the culinary highlights of the cruise, it stands out as a truly unique and special occasion. Guests can choose from three curated menus—French, Italian, and Californian—each featured on a different evening.

Located at an elegantly arranged long table in Prime C, opposite the bar, the Chef’s Table is thoughtfully designed with personalized menus and assigned seating. The setup accommodates up to six couples, creating a relaxed yet intimate atmosphere.

The ship's Executive Chef will personally present the menu, adding a touch of warmth and hospitality to the occasion whilst the sommelier will expertly describe each wine pairing, remarking on why it was selected for that course and providing tasting notes. There is a supplement to pay for Chef's Table - starting from $95 per person.

Is speciality dining included on Azamara?

Guests staying in the luxurious Club World Owner’s Suite, the elegant Club Ocean Suite, and the magnificent Club Continent Suite enjoy the exceptional privilege of dining in any of the specialty restaurants without incurring any additional cost. This exclusive offer allows them to savour exquisite culinary experiences throughout their stay.

For all other guests, however, there is a surcharge of $49.95 per person required to dine in the upscale specialty restaurants Prime C and Aqualina, ensuring that they too can delight in gourmet meals. Meanwhile, all other restaurants are included in the overall price of your cruise, giving guests a range of dining options to enhance their onboard experience. We recommend you make reservations for Prime C and Aqualina.

What is the dress code for dining on Azamara?

In all dining rooms, guests are encouraged to adhere to a "resort casual" dress code, promoting both comfort and elegance. This approach ensures a tasteful and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. Bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps, bathing suits, shorts, and jeans are not permitted in the main dining room or the two specialty restaurants.

At Windows Café, casual attire is welcomed, but footwear and a cover-up or shirt are required.

In Prime C, Aqualina, and Discoveries Restaurant, many guests appreciate the opportunity to dress up slightly. While formal evening wear such as ball gowns and tuxedos is not expected, men are encouraged to wear a sport coat or suit for a polished look. Women may choose dresses, skirts, or blouses paired with pants or capris, all of which align perfectly with the resort casual aesthetic. The focus remains on creating a refined dining experience for all.
