Jacques: A Culinary Tribute to Chef Jacques Pépin

Named in honor of legendary chef Jacques Pépin, Oceania Cruises' first Executive Culinary Director, Jacques exemplifies the brand's commitment to "The Finest Cuisine at Sea®." Already a beloved feature on Marina and Riviera, this elegant French bistro will make its debut on Allura, bringing its sophisticated menu and timeless charm to a new audience. A Fresh Take on Classic French Cuisine

Collaborating closely with Executive Culinary Directors Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale, Chef Pépin plans to introduce new flavours while perfecting the iconic dishes that have made Jacques a favourite.

From duck with a Grand Marnier-infused orange sauce to veal medallions in a decadent morel sauce, the menu will feature both familiar favorites and innovative creations. Vegetarian guests can delight in newly crafted dishes, while dessert lovers will savor classic French treats like Crêpes Suzette and profiteroles.

“Working alongside Jacques to create this new chapter has been an incredible journey,” remarked Chef Quaretti. “We’re infusing the menu with personal memories and timeless French bistro elements, making this iteration of Jacques truly special.”

Guests can expect more than just exquisite food. Jacques will introduce tableside service for select dishes, including beef tartare, enhancing the immersive dining experience. Thoughtfully selected crockery, glassware, and silverware will further reflect the art of French dining, ensuring that every detail contributes to an authentic Parisian bistro ambiance.

Chef Pépin added, “This is a wonderful opportunity to experiment with new ideas and present our guests with both innovative dishes and the classics they’ve come to love. The latest version of Jacques will be a feast for all the senses.”
